What are the requirements and tips for applying for a SETV in Hanoi with a history of multiple SETVs?

Hi, I'm considering travelling to Hanoi to apply for a SETV; this will be my third. I have already had one visa exempt (with 30 day extension) and also obtained 2 SETV(s) from KL. Does anyone have information about getting this particular visa, from this location? Any hardships, or difficulty when the passport has multiple SETVs?

I understand I will have to show 20,000 baht via bank statement (which isn't an issue at all) travel in & out of Thailand within 60 days (I will purchase 'Premium Flex' tickets with Air Asia) and show accommodation - I plan to show hotel bookings but, I'm not sure for what period of time. Can I just show a 3 day booking, commencing with my first day in Thailand? I also read of one gentleman being asked to prove he had travel insurance; is this an isolated occurrence?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Why would you cancel a booking. You need to stay somewhere or are you that poor your sleeping in a doorway?

Hi, I went to Hanoi 5months ago. I showed a proof of accomodation on booking then cancelled it right away, just in case. Then a bank statement. It literally took me 5mins. You can search my post on this group, I made one stating what they asked me because to be honest I kinda forgot haha

Good luck!

I think I just booked for 2 weeks then cancelled. I had a flight out of Thailand within 90 days and it was fine.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I checked your post there was no mention of accomodation. Can you vaguely remember how long you booked your hotel stay for, before cancelling? 1 week? 2 weeks? 1 month? or the full 60 days? I saw the additional discussion with

in the comments also, did you end up purchasing a flight out of thailand within 60 days or 90 days? Thanks again.

Here's the Hanoi Embassy requirements. Note they have the right to ask for other documents they deem necessary.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I will get accomodation just not sure how many days I need to show the consulate. I was hoping up to 3 days of hotels would be enough.

Read the last line of point 2: Consular officers reserve the rights to request additional documents as deemed necessary

So be prepared to show accommodation.

I did but, I could only see comments saying there was a likelihood I would need the evidence of either hotel stays or an apartment lease. Nothing on the length of a hotel stay(s). No worries, hopefully someone else will known that particular detail. Thank you again for your help

Hi
@R**
, thank you for taking the time to reply, it's much appreciated. I couldn't see anything regarding the requirements for accommodation; do you by any chance know if there's a likelihood I will have to supply evidence of bookings and if so, for how many days? Thanks again.
