Your TM30 will be filed where staying unless say staying at friends house and they don't keep compliant (most wont). Hotels will auto file them for guests. Airbnbs will be more miss than hit

There is no hard and fast answer to this as no hard coded rules , its up to the immigration officer one encounters at the check point. What they look for is pattern of stay (many think its the entry's, its not, its how much time in country and/or pattern of coming and going that makes it looks like might be working or something else not meant to be doing with exempt). Looking at info you gave, in my opinion, 3 entrys in 5 months, not going to raise red flags in itself, just a week out might though. Overall would say 90% or more chance he is let in, but he might be told to get a visa next time. At this point would be thinking about tourist visa (TR) as they are bit more relaxed if on that, though cannot stay visa running forever on those either

not to bad but it is more case of annoying to be stuck in limbo, not knowing when or how it will end.

Also tired of arranging accommodation every two days

You just got lucky with a branch that was willing to work with you. There actually is no consistency in rules between branches of same bank, never mind between different banks.

That you don't know this basic fact kind of makes you look rather ignorant, and your condescending tone make you look even worse

Reason your 'advise' is kind of useless to everyone is you never named branch , if you had might have at least been useful to some people in that area

All these and many many say same, would trust them over any consular official anyday, those guys bearly know thier own rules, never mind ones out side their area of responsibility

Anonymous participant 949 "your day will being fresh" incorrect, tax residence status is determined by cumulative days in Thailand, not consecutive, leaving and reentering does not reset the count. If you spend more than 180 days in total in country in a calender year you are tax resident

There seems to be a common reported problem with the scanning of passports, selects wrong country (and overwrites what you had entered manually), after scanning best to just reenter everything again manually
