I arrived last night 7/1/26 wondering about whether I would be turned down for the standard 60 visa waiver because I had read many posts here stating various negative issues about immigration's supposed tightening up rule on using too many etc etc.
I used 4 last year with a total stay of 212 days so was worried but got through OK. I was asked for proof of outward travel which I had but that's all. It seems either I got a sympathetic officer or there has been a lot of unnecessary hype regarding waiver abuse?
When you enter Thailand as a turist for 14 days, do you need to have cash on you to prove that you are capable to pay for accomodation, food, transport, according to the new entry rule in the country? I know that I need to fill a paper before leaving UK, but about money I do not know anything. Thank you for your answers! 🙏
I will do my TDAC but can they say to me not come in to Thailand even i am going back home after 3 months or i need to show them a ticket back home also? What is the rules for book one way?
I entered Thailand 3 weeks ago with the plan of getting a visa on arrival, as I did last year. I was in Thailand for 6 months doing visa runs and never overstayed. Everything was in rule. Long story short, they asked me to buy a ticket to leave Thailand and gave me only 45 days instead of the usual 60 days.
I would like to apply for a DTV visa, but at the moment, I don’t have the required funds in my bank account for at least 3 months.
I am going to India for 3 weeks, and my question is: Do you think I can apply for a METV to come back to Thailand, and meanwhile get my papers sorted, to then apply for a proper DTV?
I applied 18 june for the DTV , passed al documents ; and since 21 june i wait for the approval
I am planning to leave 17th July from Cambodia to Thailand so I hope to have the visa in due time, however if that would not be the case and the visa would be granted after 17th july , can i then simply got to thailand 60 days with EU pasport, return september to cambodia and then use the DTV
in other words, if they grant the visa how many days you have before entering Thailand ??
This is probably not the right place to ask but bear with me.
I’m here on a DTV but my boyfriend is here on visa exempt status. He has already flown in twice this year to Thailand but not stayed the full 60 days. Due to some family stuff he is having to fly out again for a week and come back.
Could someone please enlighten how many times a year he can come here on visa exempt status. He wanted to apply for DTV but he doesn’t have the full 500K yet.
Nationality: Central European.
Thanks for any advice whatsoever. Khap khun khaaaa
Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone has anyone come across this before and is there a way around it?
I’ve got a return flight booked with Etihad to Phuket from the Uk for 81 days. I know the visa is 60 days on arrival but I was going to do a visa extension whilst there. To cover me for the 81 days.
I’ve gone to check in online with Etihad and they want visa information. Which I don’t have.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. We fly tomorrow evening.
Hello, friends and fellow travellers! Does anyone happen to know how long after your DTV has been approved we’re allowed to enter Thailand using it? Thank you! ขอบคุณครับ 😊
