Why would they wait till land borders are opened again. Flights are coming in and out of Thailand every day and flights are increasing

If she has already had covid make sure you get a certificate of recovery from your doctor to state that she has recovered from covid. Just a precaution

Visa and Certificate of Entry for Non-Thai nationals who need to receive medical treatment in Thailand (except for treatment for COVID-19), including their accompanying persons (no more than 3 accompanying immediate family members)

Step 1:

Applicant contacts hospital in Thailand that has been approved by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) to receive foreign patients and quarantine foreign patient and to send a request to the Department of Health Service Support (HSS), along with (1.1) Confirmation Letter (1.2) Affidavit of Support (1.3) Summary Form of Vehicles for Patients and other related documents such as a passport.

Step 2:

If approved, HSS will send the list of approved patients and accompanying family members to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform the Embassy to issue a Certificate of Entry (COE) and visa.

Step 3:

Completed the Online Visa Application (OVA) at least 10 working days before the intended date of travel

I would wait till the 1 May and have info for the covid insurance just in case it doesn’t happen.

Just get the cheapest one you can find, can you just get a covid one by itself and show them both policies

Then what’s the problem if your insurance from home will cover you whilst in Thailand then use it.

We arrived just after the last changes where you were supposed to have to covid test paid for and hotel for day 1 and day 5, the government credited us for the 2nd test, the hotel gave us the option of upgrading or a partial credit for day 5.

If your only coming for a holiday you only need to pay insurance for the time you are in Thailand

I would rather pay for both that get sick or have a accident out of my home country then try to find the money to bay medical etc in Thailand or anywhere else in the world other than my home country
