TLDR : Answer Summary
The time it takes to get a tourist visa for Thailand varies by consulate and whether they utilize the e-visa system. Generally, the average processing time is about 2-3 days, with some instances where it can be processed in as little as 24 hours if all necessary documents are provided. Given that you plan to leave on June 23 and apply on May 1, you should have ample time to receive your visa.

visa has nothing to do with applying for test and go. I had my TR60 3 weeks before I applied for test and go

I applied for my visa in Sydney and didn’t have to show any proof of hotel. I was asked my address during the stay and cited HOMA’s address without even booking or knowing if they were SHA

We arrived just after the last changes where you were supposed to have to covid test paid for and hotel for day 1 and day 5, the government credited us for the 2nd test, the hotel gave us the option of upgrading or a partial credit for day 5.

not usually the case. Obviously dependant on the hotel, but in the past most have been good with refunds when conditions of entry have changed.

I land may 13th. If it changes would I have to speak to the hotel when I get there do you know?

@Carl *******
if the rules change then contact your booked hotel immediately. No guarantees mind you but hopefully you’ll have good luck.

Depends on the consulate you might use and whether they use the evisa system these days. If they do then average turnaround time seems to be 2-3 days.

The Los Angeles consulate turned-around my visa in a couple of days (like 2).

many posts on here seem to suggest 2-3 days would be normal, if all documentation is in order. Perhaps a bit longer if they want extra documents or clarification.

usually they state a long time frame, and therefore everyone is happy when their one is done way quicker. Perhaps it may take a week, but if you’re travelling in June then for sure wait until the 1st to see if the rules change. I wouldn’t be holding my breath for the 1st of May, but that’s a guess.
