I thought 1 of the requirements was that you apply from the county that you are a resident of? Is this not the case? Can anybody just go to Vientiane and apply?

That is why we are asking questions here to find out more about it. This is still a fairly new visa and I’m sure a lot of the people asking questions didn’t rush to get the DTV visa but are just trying to find out more about it.

So if you just do a boarder bounce somewhere near by and just come back in you don’t have to pay the extension fee because you are not extending you will be getting a new stamp when you come back in right?
