if you have high blood pressure again many problems will not be covered. So you must have a face to face meeting with an agent, give them all your medical history, all medication and ask 101 questions, then ask for all answers in writing, after you will know what is NOT covered.

you must declaim every minor detail to the insurance company, some request a full medical, some won't cover any existing issues, some will cover 2 or 5 years later should the medical condition not reappear. If you have a complaint like diabetes they will exclude almost everything, eyes, heart, organs etc as insulin or lack of causes so many problems, so my husband self covered all his medical costs being a diabetic.

In my experience insurance companies pay claims as promised IF everything is 100% correct, BUT you need to read and read pages of small print. The biggest loophole here is renting bikes, having a mishap and claim not paid. Why? Not only do you need a correct bike license from your country BUT also a IDP, many tourists are not aware of that. Then ANY sign of alcohol in the blood claim rejected, not wearing a helmet etc. My small print says if I am a passenger on a bike they only pay 50% of medical costs, if I use BOLT motorbike taxi who never provide a helmet, then they pay NIL of my costs. Yes many airlines checked at random now for either a visa or onward/return flight. Check with your airline or buy a cheap ticket to Cambodia which you can bin or if possible ask for refund

Myself I would forget outpatiet cover as generally those bills are low, and seek a much higher cover than 400,000 per year if you want to use international hospitals

room and board, this will only cover a very basic private room in government hospital, Banglamung new block is 2500 per night before nursing care

Immigration is not the problem, it would be your airline that possibly prevent you from boarding so best check with them
