Your visa is valid for 90 days.

Means you have 90 days to enter Thailand.

Upon entry you will be stamped in for 90 days regardless of how long is left of the validity of the visa.

Paul Franklin Which is important so that others that read this understand it properly.

You might understand it. Others might not, and it will cause misunderstandings.

James Mitchell No.

You don't get 15 months.

You get a 90 day visa, and then apply for 12 months extension of stay.

Saying you get 15 months makes it sound like you get 15 months in one go, which is just not true. They are separate applications, done separately.

If this is your first extension, you will not be able to use the transfer-method.

You will need 12 months of consecutive transfers, without fail, while you are already on a Non-O/Extension of stay.

Abel Ka I would recommend just starting the application on the evisa portal. You'll see all the requirements relevant to you.

copy of Marriage certificates and spouses ID probably needs to be dated and signed by your spouse though. I had to re-submit those with my husbands signture.

Nancy Van Rysselberghe When I did mine in November, I submitted and paid for my application on Monday morning, and it was approved Tuesday around 5pm. :P

Mileage will vary depending on season, I think.

I honestly enjoy Vientiane, Laos for my Non-O application.

Only downside is having to visit the consulate in person to pay the fee.

In Bangkok it can be a whole-day affair if you arrive too late in the morning. :P

Andrew Hall Yes, you will only her 60 days on entry with a tourist visa.

Which can be extended.

If the OP is 50 years or above, a Non-O would give 90 days on arrival though.
