Can anyone point me in the direction of a health insurance cover for expats that will take me with pre existing medical conditions please?
I'm not worried that they won't cover those conditions, but im looking for cover for accidents, cancer, stroke, heart attack etc.
I'm currently in the UK but after 25 years here with my Thai missus, we've decided its almost time to retire back to Thailand. I'm 49 and she's 53. Plan is to make the move next year when I hit the big 50. But unless I can get cover im quite concerned about not having insurance in place in case the worst happens.
I have spoken to one chap, but he said I was unisurable, but im hoping that isn't the case.
For those living abroad or planning to move—what international health insurance do you use and would you recommend it? I’m starting to explore options and would love your input on what’s worked well (or not) for you. Thanks in advance!
Does anyone have experience with a health insurance that also covers pre-existing illnesses? Furthermore, international health insurance is quite expensive.
This post only has value for US citizens who stay in Thailand 6 months or less per year and are using a Medicare advantage plan. These are my reimbursements from Medicare advantage from United Healthcare. As you can see, I was already reimbursed by the plan.
Would anyone be able to advise on international health insurance? I’m 50 and in the UK, trying to get health insurance and am getting quotes of around £200/month. It feels very expensive, is it cheaper to get health insurance from providers once in Thailand? Or is this just what I need to expect at my age :(
