Would anyone be able to advise on international health insurance? I’m 50 and in the UK, trying to get health insurance and am getting quotes of around £200/month. It feels very expensive, is it cheaper to get health insurance from providers once in Thailand? Or is this just what I need to expect at my age :(

Health insurance - my travel insurance runs out soon, and as a general pattern I'm here in T four months a year.

I'll need some kind of health insurance, AXA quoted me 140,000B/year which seems excessive, even given advancing years.

They also provided the option of a minimum cover insurance for retirement visa purposes but with excessively large self-contributions per claim.

Dow anyone know a cost-effective solution for, err, someone a bit older that does not have large excesses per claim?

Thanks

Is there a way to use my American insurance to qualify for an OA visa? I know it covers me in Thailand, but how can I get the form filled out?

Hi all, I'm in the last stages of getting approved for a LTR-T visa, but I got asked the following to be able to continue:

*"* Please provide international health insurance (travel insurance is unacceptable) policy covering entire course of stay in Thailand, with coverage for hospitalization treatment of no less than 50,000 USD and the remaining period of no less than 10 months"*

I'm not sure if I need to pay up front for 10 years of health insurance or just 10 months.

Does anyone have experience with this and know which insurance will be enough to match their criteria without overpaying? And any recommendations on specific plan/company? Thanks in advance!

I need a bit of help in regards to my LTR visa application currently in progress, I've been asked to provide health insurance:

"Please provide international health insurance (travel insurance is unacceptable) policy covering entire course of stay in Thailand, with coverage for hospitalization treatment of no less than 50,000 USD and the remaining period of no less than 10 months."

1. What is meant by "entire course of stay"?

The LTR visa is for 10 years, is the implication one needs to prepay 10 years of health insurance?

2. Can anyone recommend a cost-effective travel insurance for this? I'm in Australia.

Thanks in advance!

If I enter Thailand with a Non Imm O visa, and want to stay 6 months, I have to do extension in Thailand after 90 days. I do have the 800000 baht on my account there for this purpose. But what about the health insurance? Can I show my international health insurance from Germany or will I have to buy an extra Thai health insurance? Thank you for advice.

I will come to Thailand on August 5, are there any requirements in place. I will enter on a visa-exempt and will leave Thailand on August 25 again to go to Laos.

I have an international health insurance for 2,000,000 USD and 2 vaccins and a booster shot for Covid.

Is this enough?
