Hello everyone :) I got my DTV approved and I'm looking for a health insurance plan before arriving. Does anyone have any recommendations? I see things way too cheap to be true or way too expensive haha, thank you in advance and have a nice day.

If I were you I would take your time work things out and if things don't work too well be very careful because of a lot of the scams that are out now are almost using this country's immigration system to its full potential in order to scam people. This is what happens when you focus your immigration system towards the elderly and the rich.🤣

To quote my doctor from Bumrungrad: you’re very lucky that you have an insurance that covers pre existing conditions. Thai insurers exclude everything you have 😂 i got mine through a swiss agent. I pay a lot (600€/month) but my medical bills are quite high as some of my meds need to be bought at private hospitals. If you’re currently healthy, there are more affordable options. I am with nowhealth international

ha ha, I was just researching that myself earlier today. For my situation I'm going to go with the "wh1500" tier, through Wealthy Healthy insurance plan, a specific product offered by Thai Health Insurance PCL, a specialized health insurance company in Thailand. I want some coverage if I'm involved in a traffic accident. Apparently I'll get that for around B1800 a month, 23,000 a year ish. That's what the AI is saying, the agent may say something different. Good luck.

it was for me until they tripled my premiums, despite no claims. My 'misdemeanour ' was a birthday which Cigna said put me in a higher risk pool. I cancelled. Of course.

I got to 65 and premium shot up 25%, yes we are into the high risk category

25% is bad enough but triple? Just trying to unload clients as they age

It is highly individual depending on age and existing conditions but as a ballpark figure you should budget around €2000 per year for in patient only treatment.
