I've been quoted 70k for a marriage visa, in which i think is a complete rip off. This includes assistance with a yellow book and the registration of the marriage. Additional, i just handed over 25k for an Australian tourist visa for my wife.
Any thoughts on what i think is my own stupidity.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster feels they were overcharged 70,000 baht for assistance with a marriage visa, which includes help with obtaining a yellow book and registering their marriage. Several commenters argue that the process can be done independently at a significantly lower cost, with estimates around 2,000 baht for the visa itself. They suggest gathering requirements at a local immigration office or applying directly through an embassy. The discussion also touches on the costs associated with an Australian tourist visa, with comments highlighting the perceived high fees associated with both types of visas.
