Thai bank is not a savings account it a transactional account. Of course you are better off saving or investing in yours or other countries even stock market in other countries. That's not why you have a Thai bank account.

firstly you need to differentiate between tourists and those that actually live here regardless of visa status. Cash is not king just because you don't have a bank account this is the way you answer. This is an isolated case. It's not normal to have to show any documentation on entry with a DTV. Does someone entering on a retirement visa have to show 800k in their bank to officers at airport. No no so don't worry it's not a rule. I wouldn't be showing them anything l have my visa for 5 years multi entry
