I have a question regarding my work permit and its connection to my visa and stay status. I arrived in Thailand on Mar-2023, holding a Non-Immigrant B-A visa, also known as a "Working Holiday Visa," which allows me to stay for approximately two years. In due course I obtained a local part-time job to keep myself busy and was granted a work permit.

The spirit of the working holiday visa is to provide stay with flexibility.

My concern is, if I decide to terminate my part-time employment, would it affect the validity of my visa/stay? I've heard that with sponsored business visas, the visa/stay status is directly linked to the work permit, so if the employment is terminated, the visa is also cancelled. Does the same rule apply to my situation?

Thank you in advance

I have a question about extension based on marriage, using salary as proof.

I am married and recently used my work here and salary as proof of finances. I am going to leave this job, and ideally would like to have a couple months off before working again.

My question is, does this void my visa or create complications next extension? Ideally, I’d rather stay on the visa I have but if I have to renew with different proof of funds, I’ll do it.

I expect I have to change, but I’m thinking, they only needed 3 months proof for the last extension, so if I start a job in a few months, will it even matter?

Extension done at Samut Prakan if that makes any difference.

Hi, esteemed and knowledgeable peers. Question about a non-b. I'm working at school on a non-b and work permit. But soon I'm heading to China to travel... On the chinese visa form it asks if I'm employed / unemployed. If I say employed, it wants to, and presumably will, contact the school. I don't want any problems from the school, as I'm leaving due to their nonpayment of some teachers when they give a months notice. So, I'm not telling them I'm leaving. If I put unemployed, (I then won't have to include the school contact details) the chinese consulate will see I'm on a non-b and employed? So does a non-b mean I'm employed or is it OK to put unemployed with a non-b visa on my passport? Or should I simply do a border run first to revert the visa back to a 30 day visa on entry thing and say im unemployed, thus bypassing all the issues? Hope that makes sense!!! Cheers..
