It currently takes 1.5-2 months from apply prep to visa collection (either you get the visa stamp within Thailand or apply abroad), sometimes it could take longer but max. 3 months. Happy to help if needed.

Yes, the dividend from your own company count as passive income in your case/LTRWP category. Feel free to ask or DM, happy to answer :)

The PO’s experience signals the future and it would very likely to happen, just a matter of time.

Thai immigration only deals with Thai bank because they are local, and can verify and aligned with local proof; money in Thai bank account is same for ALL type of Thai visa issued within Thailand - apply or extension.

DTV is issued outside of Thailand by embassy/consulate which is ruled by MFA, not immigration bureau (the one for extension). MFA by nature, allows use a foreign country’s local bank, AND Thai bank to be your financial proof, so DTV or other type of visa apply from overseas embassy allows your home country’s bank as proof.

It’s not the issue with bank account, or immigration nonsense nor PO posted anon, DTV is not supposed to be extended within Thailand - It aligns with how the bigger system works.

I think so, visa exemption can not be extended. VOA can do

In a general, the best would be re-enter Indonesia without an issue then try go back when possible, or apply a VOA to enter again.

In PO’s case, time is extremely compounded, his/her visa result might be released soon or even before the back and forth.

You’ll need to clarify based the fact to embassy when they ask for it.

What’s your situation exactly? If there are more than 2 valid working days in host country when your visa is processing then you should wait till last day.

If you can extend IND visa then prioritise extension.

Because in this case, immigration compliance in the host country takes legal precedence over any third-country visa application. Once lawful stay expires, the applicant no longer has a valid basis to remain in the country or to continue a visa application from that jurisdiction.

Therefore, taking a neutral and compliant position in this situation, PO must depart before the Indonesian permit expires, while also refraining from entering Thailand in order to comply with the DTV requirement that applications be submitted from outside Thailand.

Better not to email them but just go to a nearby country while waiting till approved then fly back to Thailand. Your plan to Malaysia is correct

UAE only allow residents to apply - you either have to be permanent resident in UAE, or you have a long term visa in UAE, or have an Emirate ID if you’re GCC residents.

Action -

I’d suggest you email the embassy and ask if they can cancel your application asap; remember do apologise for your mistake; ask for cancel instead of a cold rejection - which could not look good for your future application.

Good luck!
