I applied for the 5-year DTV as a Cyprus tax resident (Non Domicile) and company owner, but mistakenly selected UAE as my current location because Cyprus has no embassy and I thought that field only chose the processing embassy.
I submitted all Cyprus-based docs, then got asked to provide UAE documents. I need to know if I can fix the existing application to reflect Cyprus instead, or if I must reapply (and pay again).
Also: I am a Non Domicile (60 days) in Cyprus. I have no residency card—can I use rental agreement + utility bills + tax residency proof? And is a shareholder certificate enough to prove my business status? I'm not employed, my only source of income is through dividends being a shareholder and director of my company.
Did anyone have this situation? What's my best collection of papers to get the visa?
Hey guys 🙂 does anyone have experience applying from Dubai with uk passport? Online application states you need to have UAE residency….
I was hoping to apply in person at the thai embassy but with that requirement maybe that’s not possible?? If anyone has any info or advice appreciated 🙂
I have a question on the DTV visa: do you need to be in your country of residence when applying or can you be in your nationality/passport/birth country.
I’m a UK National but with residency in the UAE. I’m planning to come to thailand in sept for probably longer than 3 months and was thinking the DTV would be a great option.
I’m currently in the UK and when I go to apply for the DTV it says I can apply online on the basis my *current location* is in the UK. My concern is they view my current location as my residency which is not the case.
If I apply through the UAE I have to apply in person at the consulate and then have my passport taken away etc etc which seems a lot more hectic. My plan was to leave the UK in sept, stop by in the UAE for a few days and then come to thailand until roughly around Christmas and if I like it (which I hope I will) return after NYE.
