Flew in yesterday and a similar queue. The airport staff directed me towards the other immigration arrival hall further along arrivals which wasn't that bad.

Every immigration post was open though and it took a remarkably short time to clear immigration despite the queue

 thanks very much. We were told that we also have to bring two witnesses with us that time, but interestingly I am not required to be present. Just the documents and my wife.

 thanks. Actually don't have a visa yet as still working overseas in Singapore, but the time will come. I have had 3 weeks off work so it was a good move to try to gain obtaining the KR22. Now it is apparent that there is a further round to undertake prior to going to the Amphur office
