I've been using Agoda to book most of my hotels. I scrutinised more the booking process this time. 604 baht for a room on their first page. I wanted to book for 7 days. The next page just before paying it comes up with a number for the 7 days without any explanation for 5880 baht. But if you do the maths it's 840 baht a night. They try to confuse with discounts and cash back. Any one else notice this, have I missed something. Also to get the final price you have to scroll down 5 pages first but you can press the next final step button at any time.

I just wonder if anyone can recommend any state agency websites I can look at for short-term accommodation in Bangkok. I tried renthub but it is only for condos/apartments. Thaiproperty.com and DD property sites are mainly for long term 1 year rental. I need to rent 1 month to 3 months.
Also any recommendation on any agency for hourly or one day taxi rental if you know anyone.

Question about immigration requiring receipt for accommodation that includes hotel's taxpayer number [Tourist visa application] - - -
Hi there peeps!
When you apply for a tourist visa to come to Thailand, the 6th written requirement on the checklist is - '**Proof of payment for accommodation for the whole period of stay in Thailand
(the receipt must state the tax payer number of the relevant
hotel/accommodation)'....**
But from my experience when you book a hotel in Thailand through Agoda, Agoda does not usually give you a 'tax invoice' but rather a 'booking confirmation' instead [which does not include the hotels tax number].
If you have recently applied for a Tourist visa, did you only show a 'booking confirmation' or did you also have to produce an actual tax invoice?
