Did anyone return to Thailand after a 1-year blacklist? I seriously ask those who lived it, those who are there just to reprimand what I did you can go!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around experiences of individuals who were blacklisted from entering Thailand for a year and their attempts to return. Key points include that once the blacklist period ends, entry is possible but may come with increased scrutiny from immigration officers. It's highly recommended to apply for a visa prior to entering Thailand, and to have necessary documentation such as proof of funds, a return ticket, and accommodation arrangements. Some users share their successful experiences of re-entry while others advise caution and the use of agents for safe entry.

Yes you’ll be able to enter again. The 1 year ban starts the day you fly out. As long as it’s just over 1 year. They might give you 30 instead of 60 but then again it’s usually up to the IO. I would suggest getting a tourist visa just to be safe if you intend of staying longer
Just do the right thing and follow Thai immigration. Go to their website to get proper information rather than believe shit advice from the comments section.
If I were you I would fly to Vietnam or somewhere close first so if you are rejected you can fly back there and have a holiday before heading home. But like others, get a real visa, pay fast track and fingers crossed but no guarantee.
Keil Yous Not necessarily, I moved a lot in Asia, the country where I feel best is Thailand or Vietnam, I just want to know if when I come back, how the experience will be
I did and was questioned each time. The mistake was made by the immigration officer who then covered it up. And his boss covered him. It was during Covid. This was on a five year elite visa. Which has to be renewed annually. Elite took no responsibility for not informing their clients. Many people fell foul of it. I would definitely enter on a non o if I were you but be prepared to be questioned. I stayed away for one year and one day and paid the 20k fine.
Julian Lewis what was the mistake? You’re not very clear about it. Everyone knows with TE have to do 90 day reporting and leave (or pay to extend) once a year from your last entry to Thailand, and each re-entry resets that clock
Julian Lewis I read what you wrote it isn’t the most clear. And yeah ever 365 days from most recent entry stamp must either leave and come back or pay and go to immigration for extension. You forgot to make note of your date from what I can tell
Julian Lewis if you bought the five year one, yes. But you still need to do 90 day reporting and either leave and come back or pay for an extension every 365 days from your most recent entry
When I did my 90 day reporting he failed to tell me my renewal date was on that day , so when I went back 90 days later he said i should arrest you , when I asked him why didn’t he tell me 90 days ago you could see the guilt on his face. He spoke to his boss , came back and gave me 7 days to exit Thailand. He has subsequently been transferred to a different position. Elite when I had the visa affixed to my passport failed to inform me that it needed renewing annually , my discussions prior they never mentioned this and their emails which were monthly also didnt say this. Over 800 people fell foul of this and now their monthly emails highlight this. I have not renewed my elite visa and now on a retirement visa. Was it in the small print ? Yes on page 9 in tiny letters and one sentence only. Elite , now Privilege put this now very clearly on page 1. Ultimately it’s my responsibility but I do feel very let down by elite and by immigration
Julian Lewis 1. Wow, you do like visiting immigration every 90 days. Were you not able to do the 90 day report online at that time, especially during covid? I believe he was under no legal obligation to inform you of the fact that your permission to stay expires. He should have, yes, especial if it was during covid and it was hard to go and come back. It's just that I find it shocking that people don't read the fine print.
You are the last person who should be allowed to enter Thailand. To be blacklisted for a year says a lot about your character. Go to Spain or Africa, Thailand has drawn the line against people who abuses its immigration laws.

Bro if I ask it’s because I have my reason, you don’t help u just laught about situation maybe happen to you tomorrow, you say immigration law but who speak about immigration ?
Kentozerr take care before some people advise immigration about you, remember is the immigration decide and about money dependent about the crime and if nobody report you.. like now 🤣 sometimes better shout your mouth....you already inside the data remember.. every officer can ask money for every stupid thing when you back.....
Have you been outside of Thailand for more than 1 year since receiving the ban? It's not clear from some of your answers. If so then I suspect applying for a visa is your way forward, it will either be granted or not
For some peace of mind I wouldn’t enter on visa exemption, but apply for a tourist visa. When that’s granted to you, you probably won’t have issues at immigration
It’s not up to the IO he’s just a worker, u 41ck, I was refused by an IO wearing a mask who could see my previous border run history over Covid to stay here save going back to the UK. He delighted in it saying “you go back home today” I was presented to the boss who you can see walking around between booths. After a chat with my LTGF I was let in. I then did two more trips after that VisaExempt but due to fear mongering online I chose to get an METV this time because I wanted more than 3 months, and people were posting about unverifiable incidents where Visa Exemption was being refused at the Airport. Thailand has experienced a mass of what I would call ผankerz in late 2025 so Thai hate for the 4-ray-ner will have been at its height and I would not have been surprised if I was singled out as I am very easy on the eyes and jealousy levels will be high. Anyway I’m in and my first 2 months is nearly up so I will need to leave and return or go to local Immigration to extend but I really can’t bring myself to give the cash to local immigration for the renewal I’d rather go to Lao ( it’s Lao not Laos) and give those corrupt border guards the cash and spend a night or two drinking the Bear of ‘Lao’ called ‘ Beer-Lao’ not ‘Beer-Laos’
Peter Slaman thanks for ur response, like I said I think comeback with cash + fast track with someone I know, maybe gonna be more calm than if I go alone
If the blacklist is over, you can enter again. But you are likely to be under more scrutiny.
Best bet is to get a visa beforehand. Also make sure you can produce 20K baht in cash (or equivalent in other large currency), a ticket out of Thailand within the timeframe of the visa, and be able to show where you will stay.
Kentozerr yes, they usually are. So if you have stayed out for the required time of the blacklist, then you can enter again. They didn't ban you for life.
John Hampton its not pre-approval. It isn't an ETA system its just a notification of your intent to visit & is not checked by an IO or system prior to your arrival.
It's recommended to apply for visa online because it's not an automatic removal from computer. Immigration will be more strict on entry. So be prepared to show funds and accommodation and returned flight. Shouldn't have any problems. But I would pay for safe entry with agent to be safe. IO always has final say regardless of what all the rules are.
