Recently came back on my DTV at BKK airport. No issues, I gave my DTV paper to the immigration officer, no questions nothing asked. Stamped back in for 6 months!
Went through BKK airport today with the DTV visa, just been asked to show the visa. Lady did stamp 17/01/2025 so that had to be changed to 2026. Overall, it went well and pretty quick.
A simple question: in summer 26 I plan to fly to bkk but not stay, only to fly onwards to Malaysia for a month, then back to Thailand and to ENTER for a month. So basically buy a return ticket London-bkk but transit on arrival. Do I have to go through Thai immigration on arrival, or stay in airport to catch flight to KL?
Re-entered Thailand BKK today. Absolutely no problems. All I was asked was where I’m going and I shrugged: “probably Phra Nakhon”, and that was it. 6 months stamp which extends beyond when I know I’ll be travelling abroad again.
Exited BKK to Singapore with new automated machines. This saves me a stamp. And I fly in and out Thailand 2 times a month so that’s 48 stamps per year. Now that will be halved so slowing down a passport replacement. I wonder if they will have these on entry?
My flight arrives at BKK and by the time I get through customs, it'll be about 11pm. Are there likely to be anywhere open to change money into Baht at the airport to pay for a taxi? Cheers.
Has anyone used the new automatic gates for departures from BKK airport? The reason I’m asking is that I always stay for 30 or 60 days with my flight home leaving around 1am on the day after (technically an overstay). I have never had an issue going through the manned immigration as it is before midnight. But would the automatic system highlight an overstay?
