I had the same issue. But less than 50k THB work for me.

If you have SCB bank account, try with that. Received within fews seconds and ok for over 100k THB as well.

I just back from Laos, Vientiane -> Nong Khai.

Officer ask me so many questions and he was shouting at me and very aggressive to me. Not sure may be because of my passport (Myanmar). And he also said next time to take a flight and do not pass from this border.

He do not ask me to show any like documents or bank balance.

My DTV category is - workcation.

And I did DTAC before I enter. But he do not ask me anything about it.

Kbank and SCB will normally sent notification before they locked out your account unless you somehow involved in the scam.

Mine opened with Non-B before and currently hold DTV, and just 2 weeks ago, I updated my new passport at Kbank and no problem at all. But yes, their 3 staffs have to sign just for passport update. 😬

Yeah the same for SCB and I did register face scan 2 years ago. But recently they cancel for all foreigners.

Yeah they also do not let Foreigners to register face scan yet.

And yesterday I wanted to login into my new phone and it do not let me in beacuse it require face scan. 🤔

Laos is a good option. I went there to re-stamp DTV last week by train and it was smooth. If your nationality need visa, you can apply visa on arrival. VOA is around 20$ I guess.
