If you’re still in the UK apply for the “retirement” visa online with the Thai Embassy in the UK and get your visa approved in a few days. You only need to show them your UK bank account with the funds in and have medical insurance.

Random suggestion, but how about going wild and buying your ticket and booking your seat in advance direct from the Thai Railways own web site? Works for me every time.

I lived and worked in KL for 5 years (British passport) and came to Thailand at least once a month. Always visa exempt. Never a problem. You don’t need a multi-entry tourist visa to do what you want to do unless you’re wanting to stay longer than 60 (

d + 30d) each time but then you’d not really be living in KL would you.

I think the OP is coming from Russia. Or maybe the Caribbean. Or Africa. Definitely, probably, one of those places.

Aeroflot probably flies to Thailand from every airport on the planet which should cover you wherever you are.

Also works if you dehydrate the cat for 12 hours with the added benefit that the dehydration process reduces the cat’s weight for checked in luggage.

@Tod ********
Perfect. It’s amazing that they don’t tell you this on the visa application web site or when you enter as there’s nothing in my passport that says I have to do any address reporting. Am I correct that if I exit/enter within the 90 days then the 90-day countdown resets itself? Thanks.

@Tod ********
Got it. I’m likely to enter/exit every 1-2 months and I understand each entry stamp lasts as long as the insurance. As I won’t want to be stuck here for 12 months from the day this e-visa expires (assuming I have the insurance certificate) then as you say I go to immigration with my finance proofs 30 or so days before the expiry. Can I check what visa I apply for at this point from within Thailand as I believe the OA is applied for in your home country. Thanks.
