Yes you can go to your immigration office fill out a page of paperwork and sorted in 30 minutes as I did last year

What office?

I did mine at Jontiem and the girl asked for a letter from my Embassy. I made a bit of a fuss not loud but determined and an officer came over and over ruled her and it was done.
