What makes you think there is a DTV card?? You just print the pdf visa, that the embassy sent you in an email, and present that with your passport when entering Thailand.

I always carry my passport in one of these, I suggest you do from now on.

it is currently 60 days visa exempt, but just keep an eye on things, they are discussing putting it back to 30 days again.

Get a retirement visa for Thailand for yourself, and you can spend extended periods of time in Thailand, without any problems coming and going, try living together first for extended periods of time, take it slowly, don't make any big purchases, you will likely get requests to buy a house, car, motorcycle, gold, give money for her family etc etc, wait until you are more sure the relationship is genuine, some will play the long game, you can get a 6 month visit visa, for your girlfriend for the UK.

Apply for the initial non O visa based on retirement, from the official Thai e- visa website.

there are agents in Pattaya, that do the initial non O visa and the 12 month retirement visa extension, for between ฿25k - ฿30k and the renewal every year is between ฿13k - ฿15k it's extra if you need a bank account opened.

I have edited my comment just for you, so you can understand it, obviously it should have said "virtually" but it actually said "vertically" not "vetically" at least get it right, if you are going to pull someone up 🤷😂😂😉

some retired people have a good pension coming in, that is more than enough to live a comfortable life in Thailand, and many also have savings, but it is in investments, and giving them a decent return, so they don't have the ฿800k to sit in a Thai bank earning virtually zero interest. 🤷🙆🤦

I think it's better for you just to continue with the retirement visa, the DTV also has a ฿500k financial requirement, and you would need to pay for a soft power course, such as muay Thai or cooking classes, and every 180 days you would need to leave the country, or do an 180 day extension which is not easy to do, and can only do it once, I personally don't think the DTV is worth the hassle if you can do the retirement visa, the DTV is apparently becoming more and more under scrutiny.
