i went to the kasikorn bank with the wife & the lady directed me to do what i have said,on arrival to Back to Chiang -Rai present the nono & all will be sorted for you in 1hr or less so this is what was verbally & written info i recieved .

from information gathered you apply for visa nono then once there take the nono to open bank account then a few days b4 your visa needs to be extended apply at the local immigration for marriage visa 1,900 bht i think,if i am wrong can someone enlighten me also .

i am the same as you i am not retired a few years of that yet to go, my money is with the wife not here though! My money in my bank will only show my pension going in as i will wait until new rate is established before i come over as then it will freeze at that level i guestimate the value over 40,ooo bht but i have my 400,ooo set aside do you think this will be problomatic ?

Hi stuart i am planning on coming on a nono visa i am already married to my thai Wife, can you tell me what you had to do to obtain your visa or e-ticket i am just gathering info so when i eventually come it wont be panic stations,i allready have my 400,ooo bht & will be getting over 40,ooo+ uk pension .

Perhaps a 500" bht fine but that may not happen & just a warning & it be noted in your passport

If you have just recieved your start of 90 day why didnt you ask the questionon recieving it,why walk away & ask it here making you look stupid,advance knowledge is better than no knowledge i think,dont do everything after the event ask whilst your applying make your life so much easier .

Yes @ the moment just gathering info on it so no panic sets in when i come to live there,things may change so can update if for some reason the situation changes.

ok i have funds for the 400,ooo so i will go that way then & if can process the pension @ a later date i will let it build up to over 12 months of paid in money & change if & when possible,it dont effect me just leaves it with less chew to my wife going forward,thanks for the info brandon .

can this guy the following year use his 40,ooo uk pension as proof as if he forwarded it to the thai bank on opening on arrival as this would go in monthly then apply the pension option for the 2nd year or would he have to continue with the 400,ooo baht option i am asking not just for him but myself aswell for when i come to live there.
