Has anyone had experience with the Non-Immigrant O visa for Thailand?

I have two questions:

1. Has it ever happened to someone that accompanying children (under 18 years old) were not allowed to enter Thailand or were rejected, even though a parent held a Non-Immigrant O visa?

I’d really appreciate any insights or experiences ,thank you!

I am on a non-immigrant O visa. Immigration asks for my visa number on the new digital arrival card. What sounds like a perfectly simple question gets very puzzling when I try to figure out exactly what they want. I see one number on my original (3 month) non-immigrant visa, a different number on my retirement visa, and yet a third number on my visa extension. Which number do I use?

Thank you for all advices given here.

My experience applying Non Immi O based on marriage thru e-Visa Thai Embassy Kuala Lumpur.

27th July - Submitted application

28th July - Thailand public holiday

29th July - Requested additional document, full pages of my passport cramp into PDF for less than 3MB

30th July - Pending document check

31st July - 4pm+- Pending approval

31st July - 5.53pm Approved

I’m actually quite surprised on fast approval, despite some people telling that Thai Embassy Kuala Lumpur is one of the hardest place for e-Visa applications

Again, millions of thanks for the advices and support given in here appreciate that 🙏🏻

Hi everyone

I would like to answer to my on question that I posted yesterday asking how long does it take to open a bank account in Thailand having all the proper paperwork on a

Non- immigrant O visa.

The answer is 1hour as so many of you posted yesterday

The thing with these bank accounts is to open the door of the correct bank and finding employers who are willing to help you. It doesn’t matter if you are in a rural town or in a tourist town where there are lots of foreigners. My experience was going on for 8 days with the employers in KRUNGSRI saying to me we will call you.

So today I went next door to KRUNGTHAI and left in an hour with my account passbook in my hands.

Again thank you all for yesterday’s replies

I applied for my Non-Immigrant O [90-day] visa in Belgium 10 days ago. I received my approval by email today. I have a few questions, and I hope someone can help me. Do I need to book a return ticket, or can I use a one-way ticket to Thailand, since I'll be applying for a one-year extension there? Is it still possible to open a bank account with this 90-day visa and a TM30 without going through a visa office? Thanks in advance for your help.

Good evening. I have a question on a weird experience I just had at the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. I was informed by the check-in agent, for the flight i was taking out of country, that i would have to pay immigration 20K Thai Baht because of my previous time in the country and my plans to return. The check-in agent also took a picture of me with their personal cell phone while she was talking to me about this.

Is this normal and is this legal (see below for the background on my travel)

Background: I was asked multiple questions about my passport, visa’s and future travel plans to Thailand by the check-in agent for the flight I was taking out of country.

1) I was on a 90D Non-Immigrant O visa

2) Left country with my Thai wife on the 90th day to another country for 4 days via flight.

3) Returned to Thailand and received a 60D Tourist Visa

4) Leaving country on my 60th day to another country for 4 days.

- The ticket agent asked if I was returning to Thailand, which they should have been able to see in the system that I had a round trip ticket. I answered “Yes”.

- I also informed them that I had a return trip to my country already purchased for 60 Days after I return to Thailand from our 4 day holiday.

At this point i was informed i would have to be interviewed by immigration upon my return which is normal (No issues here).

But then informed i would have to pay 20,000 Thai Baht to immigration when i returned because of time i had already spent in Thailand. The check in agent also took my picture with her cell phone (This is where my Spidey senses started sparking and wanted to reach out for any thoughts, similar experiences, or recommendations).

Thank you in advance.@

Hi, I'm currently in Thailand but plan to leave to Cambodia to apply for my Non-immigrant O visiting family visa. One of the requirements is to have proof of funds which I have. It asks to have 3 months worth of bank statements. Usually when you apply for the Thai wife visa you need to show bank statements and updated bank books given by the bank on the exact day you apply. Is it the same for the online Non-immigrant O e-visa. Or can I get the bank statements before I leave and still use them to apply a few days later in Cambodia. If anyone has done this I would appreciate if you could let me know the best way to do it. Thanks.

Hi.

Non Imm O visa based on marriage extension question.

Trying to get to the bottom of it after a visit to the Amphur Mueang office in Korat today, to obtain Kor Ror 22.

Married my wife in Singapore (over 20 years ago).

Have.....

- Singapore marriage certificate and translation from English to Thai endorsed by notary public and the Royal Thai Embassy Singapore.

- I produced these in Korat today, was told that I require to gain endorsement by Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Laksi in Bangkok before can obtain Kor Ror 22.

Question = Is this correct? I need to go to Laksi MOFA to get another endorsement?

Tomorrow I am visiting a different Amphur office to try again.

I understand that the MOFA now has an online queue application for appointment that may take weeks. I don't have time to go through that as will leave the country in 5 days.

If an endorsement of my marriage documents by MOFA Bangkok is a necessity, can anyone suggest a reliable agent to approach? I don't expect to be back in the country until next year sometime.

Thanks in advance
