I have drove it twice from Chiang Mai. It’s about baht a day to leave your car at the border. 2000 baht to enter Laos. Parking lots on left before border entrance to leave your car. Take the bus across the bridge. Taxis are annoying to get to the city. If you can use grab I would.

If you have a Non-O you can do it yourself. January tried to help a friend. over 10 agents and would not help unless he had a Non-O or will be applying for a Non-O with them for 40,000 ish baht.

Oh I believe they have a small office in the back at the airport immigration that will do the tm30 for free is what they are talking about. Next to the printer/photo place in the back. It was like 18 months ago I had incomplete tm30 and the immigration officer sent me back there to get a correct tm30. Maybe that is what they meant. Still would only do it when it’s time to see immigration. Crazy owner would just not update it.

Anonymous participant no that person is crazy. I have rented from perfect homes a few years ago. Don’t overthink this and don’t worry about a tm30. You only need to worry about a tm30 when you need to go up to immigration. If you have no plans to go up to immigration don’t worry about. Most hotels outside of tourist areas don’t even do the tm30. My friends landlord refuses to do a tm30 so once a year he pays an agent baht for a tm30 so he can renew his Non-O.

Chiang mai can confirm tourist visa no problem. Just a little running around to get it all done.

dude I just contacted everyone agent I could find in Chaing Mai and Pattaya and all rejected. So your information is outdated. I have a bank account was trying to help a friend. Watch the news on all the scams and human trafficking going on in Thailand. The Thai military is involved. They cracked down early last year however about 12 days ago on Monday they REALLY cracked down. Watch the news.

good to know. I have insurance through my former employer. Still they can suck sometimes. Last year in Thailand they have denied claims for medicine not being USFDA approved, or not getting pre-authorization for my medicine. Medicine is expensive so of course they originally found way to deny it. Or denying room charges because I got the “premier” room which they thought was a fancy room. They did pay after the hospital wrote them explaining the room premier is just a basic room. Hopefully this year will be easier dealing with them. 🤷‍♂️ cheers 🍻

Average cost for doctor visit 30,000 baht every 8 weeks for me. So 195,000 a year. Hopefully insurance picks up most of it. 🤞
