i did not know this. Honestly prefer to leave Thailand often so a multi entry visa sounds better and removes the 400k requirement? Crazy how I missed this.
yes I left after 90 days Non-O and used 400k to be approved. Unfortunately I donāt think I will have 400k saved up again until end of the year so was hoping to switch to bank statements. Thank you for the information.
. Besides helping with the bank account she also helped me get my driver license while on a tourist visa. Made things simple. She is located in Chiang Mai. Highly recommend her.
A letter from USA embasy is 1900. With taxi Grab rides I would have most likely paid over 2500. So money well spent. Just hire an agent and relax. They know the friendly banks that work with tourist visas.
You are making this way to complicated. I had a bank tell me I needed a letter from my embassy. I left. I had a bank tell me they wanted 5900 baht life insurance policy. I left.
Truth is I hired an agent I believe it was 2500. This is in chiang mai. She went to immigration got the residency certificate and drove me up to the correct bank. Super simple. Took an hour of my time on a tourist visa.
If looking at land and not a condo research into usufructs. Get a lawyer for the contractā¦ And have two other lawyers check the first lawyers contracts before submitting anything to the land office. Donāt let any lawyer know about each other.
Yes you can do the ED visa for a few years and see what immigration says is definitely an option. Also You can be a legitimate volunteer and help others with English 8-10 hours a week is an option. I Talked to two volunteers at immigration in March. both younger americas said they volunteer with the āfoundationā helping people submit paperwork. So not shady as they really are volunteering.
Someone else could step in and talk about the business you may want to start. Maybe get a work visa if you hire thais.
I married a thai and that was the simplest solution for me to stay in Thailand. Best of luck.
I heard that as well. two gentlemen were volunteers at central festival immigration back in March. They said they have to do 8-10 hours a week volunteering helping and get a visa. Cool dudes both from America helped with my paperwork. I believe itās with a Christian organization called the foundation? Forgot the name. Someone else I believe suppose to be volunteering with animals, idk, itās a complete scam they do zero volunteer work, however he is still here. Blocked that dude last month he was mr. Negative.
I have many friends who are not married to a Thai under the age of 50 living in Thailand for years. One has a volunteer stamp. another has an ED stamp. I believe itās around 40,000 to 50,000 baht a year. However after 3-4 years I would feel immigration would say no more? After three years probably would want to explore more countries.
