One last question does the minimum 3 million baht have to cover both inpatient and outpatient or can it just be inpatient? I asked my Thai embassy this question and they just sent me a link to a list of insurers.
Thanks all. As Benjamin mentions I am only interested in the OA visa and itโs health insurance requirements. In particular if I can in my initial application get cover for just the 90 day entry visa and the sort out the long term during those 90 days. OA because I understand it is multi entry and adequate health insurance because I am risk averse. ๐
Thanks James and Joe. For tax reasons I need to limit my annual stay in Thailand as a resident to less than 180 days in a year. Maybe the multi entry tourist visa for 6 months is a better option as I am not taking up residency outside of Australia. I assume with the 6 month multi entry tourist visa I would have the slight inconvenience of having to get say a cheap flight to Vietnam or another SE Asian country every 60 days and then flying back to Thailand after a day or two?
Thanks Barry. I believe that would mean 60 days per visit. What if I wanted to stay continuously in Thailand for 6 months and only departing at the end of the six months?
Try a google search on running ie on a Mac. I have no idea if this works or if it could create any problems on your Mac but it is an example of what the search found:
