I’ve found many Thai.fBk.Grp.xPat answers helpful and like life, see the "stupid is as stupid does" duds... (note: not dudes or dudettes, duds; i.e., training rounds and explosives lasting milliseconds are more useful) ...I mostly moved away from. ThanXx . Thought about it. I'll be 70 in November. I think I'll keep my house for a place to visit until I get tired of long flights, maybe in 6 or 8 years. Then I'll sell it. That's the only way I could get an elite. I'm thinking 90 to100 thousand baht per month is ok for two,so it would be awhile before I could get 800k to plunk over. Im coming over on June 16th for a while, maybe long term.

One way is to apply for a non-o visa;

Another is scootering through a hotel lobby into a pool at a law enforcement conference.

Both result in being allowed to stay longer than 60 days without those bothersome border bounces.

If you have 800k.baht in bank, then I think you only need $1900usd/mo. I have also heard if you have more monthly, they might let you slide on having the whole 800k.baht in bank. Maybe just 400k with 3k monthly? I don't know. I hope someone can sort us out and confirm or not.
