Maybe for 1st 85 day trip get 60 day tourist visa in.your country and extend at immigration for 30 days I think 1900 baht then return visit just get 60 day visa exempt stamp in. That way 1 proper tourist, (1st) which immigration are good with then visa exemp which they happy with if you don't do too often.

I got mine through Sydney and money still there but my 5 year extension is due 2027. Wondering if that money has to be in Thai account for extension. Have you come across anyone extending yet and that situation. Happy to bring money here if conversion rates went up lol. cheers

Wonder what would happen if you didn't do it. They make it a requirement. What immigration do with it is of no consequence

hello James. I am on a non imm OX visa acquired early 2023. I when I first went to Patong immigration to do 90 day report they gave a receipt for 12 monthly report. 2nd 12 months report I got same receipt, next report do in 12 months. That report is due 11 June this year. Now Patong imm has changed only do 90 day reports and annual extensions so I don't know about my upcoming report. If I have to go to Phuket I believe they don't do annual. I will go yo Patong see what happens and report if you are interested.

hi Ellie. Just further on the Patong Immigration Office I include an image of the receipt from TM47 which they stapled in my passport. No mention of a 1 year qualification check. You might let me know what you think. Cheers Richard.

Best check with your local immigration there seems some confusion about this. I did my first 90 day at Patong immigration with the Non imm OX they stapled a paper in Passport saying notify Address again on 18.June 2024 ie 12 months. I asked if I still do 90 day answer NO come back on that date so seems some immigration.offices have different rules
