I realized the tourist visa is a much more convenient because when i come back on visa exempt i have to pay 1900 baht anyways for a total of 60 days, compared to paying 1000 baht for a tourist visa and I get 60 days!
How many transfers do you need at Udon Airport and how much do they cost? I'm thinking about 4... Once you land at Udon Airport you need to get a Taxi from Udon Airport to Udon Bus Terminal, then from there Bus to Nong Khai, then Nong Khai to Laos border, then Tuktuk from Laos to Vientiane/your hotel?
Wouldn't it be more cheaper & convenient if your going to Laos (since you have to leave Thailand anyways) and apply for a Tourist Visa and come back with 60+30 days instead of going all that way, only to return on a Visa exempt and get just 30+30 days and having to do that again in 60 days compared to having 90 days total?
The meaning of "working prohibited" is physically going to a job based in Thailand, where Thai people is the source of your income. If people who have their own online business, and staying in Thailand, that's not illegal. If I am on vacation and I want to spend a day working on projects on my laptop, that's fair game. But it's impossible to get a WP for that situation. It's difficult for entrepreneurs who don't have any employees in Thailand to get a Non B Visa.
I thought if you have an online business and stay in Thailand, you are not eligible for a work permit because you need to have at least 5 employees? If you have a business generating income online but no employees then you wont be able to get the Non B Visa with 1 year extension of stay. But wouldn't that also be considered "working" if your on a Tourist visa? So what would the right way to go on about this situation be?
I have over 12 Visa exempt entries in my lifetime, I was like you.. the first few trips to Thailand I only stayed 3 days and left, then came back. I racked up 5 visa exempts within a year and started staying long term and was told to get a Tourist Visa. But really, you don't need a Tourist Visa unless you plan on staying for 60 days. If you fly in/out and only stay a few days, the amount of times are unlimited by air. I only buy a Tourist Visa when I have no travel plans and plan to stay 60 days or longer. If I travel and come back without a visa because I plan to travel again shortly, I just tell the officer that next week I'm leaving and they understand. If they ask how long your staying and its more than 30 days then its a better deal to get the Tourist visa
No point in paying 1,900 baht for an additional 7 days when you can just spend that 1,000 baht for a ticket to Laos and then 1,000 baht for a brand new tourist visa giving you 60 days
Can anyone recommend a Muay Thai that offers this same Visa located in Bangkok? I never knew about this option as I like training Muay Thai, but I'm currently on a Tourist Visa
