TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses concerns about using an Airbnb booking, which typically lacks a full address, for visa applications in Thailand. Users highlight that an Airbnb booking may not suffice compared to hotel reservations, which are considered more compliant with visa requirements. There's an emphasis on the legal status of Airbnb in Thailand, with caution advised against mentioning it to officials. Some suggest alternatives like booking through a service that provides proper confirmation for visa applications.

Very true and I really understand and appreciate that. That is why I am here to ask since I do not intend to get involved in any illegal acts. So, I ask first to prevent any unintentional problems. These all show that everyone here respects the law of the country we are going to visit.
Fahim, in this group we do not recommend or advocate our members engaging in anything that is illegal or borderline grey area as it is unnecessary just complicates your visit to Thailand.
I wouldn't say AirBnB is illegal, it's just a platform. But short term rentals without appropriate permits etc is. Nothing wrong with renting a condo via AirBnB for +30 days.
