Seems like a good deal just 20,000 Baht, overstay for a few years until you want to move somewhere else and the ban won't mean anything if you don't get caught and ready to leave for good and don't plan on coming back!

That wouldn't fly if you come across a competent IO. For sure at Thai-Laos border at Nong Khai they will refuse to put the Visa/Stamp on that page

Yeah. I've been trying to figure out other options but failed so just a heads up. I have 1 American Express credit card and 1 Mastercard Debit card and Banks do not accept cash advance from Amex. And for my Mastercard, it denies cash advance over the counter. So my only option is withdrawing from ATM and paying a total of about $20 in fees for each transaction. But I always withdraw the max amount of 30,000฿.

does the prepaid visa which used as an ATM still charge you the fees? whenever I use my ATM to withdraw I get charged 220 baht plus $5 from my bank plus about $10 from mastercard for their conversion rate

Paul Burns, Many people like myself have been in Thailand for years on just Tourist Visas. The only problem is when you apply for your 4th Tourist Visa, they will say you can't get anymore in your passport, but at this point, many people will just apply for new passport and be able to repeat the process all over again with no problems.

Yes but if you plan it right, you can use your 1 of 2 of your land crossings in September, extend that, then do your 2nd in November, extend that, and then you can have an additional 4 months if you want to do it again when it resets in 2019, and do another 2 land crossings in January and March.

If you plan on staying in Thailand for a while, I strongly recommend applying for a Tourist Visa while in Cambodia. Then when you come back to Thailand, you will use your Tourist Visa instead of 1 of 2 of your land crossings (The 2 per year will not count if you enter with tourist visa) so you can save those for the later part of the year to use before it resets again in the new year.

Yes this is near the Myannmar Border near the Death Bridge. Its just stamp out of Thailand and stamp back in the same day so you get 30 days Visa exemption by Land Border. This option isn't for Tourist Visa
