Hi all . I'm new to the group. I'm looking for some advice on getting a retirement visa. Is it easier to do in country or from Australia through the Thailand embassy.
Starting to feel a bit defeated. We (60+) are coming from Canada in September but struggling to find a visa that we can make work for us. My husband and I are able to scrape together 800,000 baht for one Non OA visa, the rest of our money is in retirement portfolios (RRSPs).
I was thinking I could come on a Non O trailing spouse 90 day and extend to match his once we arrive. Has ANYONE done this??
My wife and I are planning to apply for the DTV later this year with her and my child as my dependents. What are the best countries to apply in that only require the 500k for one person and not each individual? We are from the USA but are okay with flying to another country to apply and then forward to Thailand from there.
Has any Singapore citizen (Singapore passport holder) succesfully applied for the DTV visa in another Thai embassy (eg Yangon, Jakarta, Taipei or Laos)? If yes where did you apply and what are the documents needed? Thank you 🙏
Question re Under Consideration - Married Thai Wife:
I will be returning to Chiang Mai Immigration Friday. My yearly extension of stay based on marriage to Thai wife is under consideration and I am to return in person this Friday. My question is: do I need to produce my Thai bank book again (showing over 400,000 THB) and does bank book need to be updated on the day I return (Friday)? Thank you for advice.
My original post was declined... but I'm still a tad confused & really hoping for clarification on what the difference is between applying for a non-O based on marriage from an embassy VS applying at your local immigration. Hoping someone can help. Thanks in advance.
I am working on the paperwork from my Non-B visa and Work Permit. Part of the application paperwork for my Non-B is a Cooperation Letter from BOI. The company I am/will work for is a BOI registered company but I am not sure what this letter is all about. It is item #15 of the checklist of requirements if you are familiar with that form. I am the first employee to go through this process so it's on me to figure out how it's done. Any guidance would be appreciated.
