I've been reading about people getting rejected and thinking it's due to previous ED Visas.

I've had 2 ED Visas back to back like 7/8 years ago, then switched to Non-B with regular work permit until now.

Do you think this would be a "bad visa history" to try getting the DTV? (Never overstayed, 90 days reports always submitted on time, etc)

Hi guys,

I am an Australian citizen. I would like to ask for advice regarding visa requirements for my upcoming travel to Thailand.

I previously visited Thailand from 27 October 2025 until 12 December 2025. After that, I travelled to Malaysia for one week and then returned to Thailand before flying back to Australia on 2 February 2026.

I am now planning to travel to Thailand again on 12 April 2026. During this trip, I intend to stay in Thailand, travel to Malaysia for a short holiday, and then return to Thailand again. My final return flight to Australia is scheduled for 25 July 2026.

Could you please advise whether I need to apply for a visa for this period of travel, or if I am eligible to enter Thailand under visa exemption arrangements?

Hi guys i need advice about my plain

I plan to obtain a 60-day Thai tourist e-visa in advance, but use it only on my second entry.

Travel plan:

* Entry 1: Thailand – 30-day visa exemption

* Exit to the Philippines for 6 days

* Entry 2: Thailand – enter using the 60-day tourist e-visa

Questions:

1. Is this allowed, or could immigration question why I didn’t use the e-visa on the first entry? Can he say to me why i didn't came with proper visa?

2. Does Thai immigration automatically see the e-visa in their system, or do I simply present it when I want to use it?

I do not plan any additional trips to Thailand this year.

I’m in Thailand with a 90-day non O but now I need to go back to the USA in June (about 135 days) and stay three to five months before returning again. So I’ll apply for a second non O visa while in the states then do all the bank and 12-month extension business here in the fall. Problem is I need to stay here a bit longer than 90 days this trip so if I leave Thailand for a few days when my 90 days are about up am I pretty certain to get a 60-day visa exempt stamp when returning? And if so, will staying 135 days this trip affect my application for a second 90-day non O visa in the fall? Thanks.

Hi people , is there a problem if i use the 2 times exemption visa before i apply for a DTV , so 60 days exemption visa and 30 days extension + visa run and another 60 days before applying for DTV.

Just entered at DMK with DTV smoothly, zero questions asked. 3rd time this year that I'm entering with DTV and with Israeli passport ✅

Non-B after 2 exempts advice:

Did 2 border runs this year(January + April) total 180days on visa exempt + extension

June 2025 did ED VISA and went to school to study thai language, visa finish december 2025 (this month)

I applied and got a job and my employer told me to go laos to get the Non-b work visa. (Legit work and everything)

Will i have problems entering thailand on NON-B with my history?

I am curious. Despite some people getting thouroughly questioned upon entry, has anyone had FIRST HAND experience of actually getting rejected from entry at the border with a DTV Visa, or are these concerns unwarranted?

Also does anyone getting thoroughly questioned or verified come from what might be labeled a first world country or travel on a top tier passport (ie. Western Europe, Five Eyes Nation, Japan/S Korea…

And if questioned thoroughly, or asked for extra information, was your visa issued in Laos or Vietnam?

Curious if there are any patterns of inquiry.

Does having multiple ed visas already effect chances at dtv?

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding the DTV visa and would really appreciate your input.

I’m working with an agent and all my documents have already been approved by their legal department. I just want to clarify one thing before applying:

My stay history in Thailand:

• Entered Thailand in July

• Stayed 2 months + 30-day extension

• Then did my first visa run

• My current visa ends on the 6th

All of this was before the new rules that started in November.

My question:

With the new restrictions and stricter entry rules, could my stay history cause any issues when applying for the DTV or when entering Thailand again after I receive it?

Would appreciate insights from anyone with experience. Thanks! 🙏
