Another smooth entry data point:

Arrived at BKK from LAX (via Manila) after being away for 2.5 months. This was my second entry on DTV and the first time flying in on DTV. I have a pretty extensive visa history - almost 9 years of continuous stay on visa exempts, tourist visas, and non-o visas.

I expected to be asked a few questions, but nope - stamped right in!

* No, I didn't need to present any document since my visa is the old kind - a sticker in my passport.

If I overstayed by 5 days will I have an issue returning from Singapore on a border run?

Got my DTV Workation Visa approved in Hanoi the other day (4 working days) flew back into Bangkok via Don Mueang Airport today and had no issues at immigration. Despite having an 11-year visa history with various types. Tourist visas, visa exemptions, education visas etc.

I was nearly refused entry 3 months ago via land border using a visa exemption and told to get a proper visa. Just wanted to share that applying for the DTV in Hanoi wasn’t a problem, even with a long visa history, and re-entering Thailand went smoothly with absolutely no questions asked.

Hey everyone, I’m currently in Thailand and just got a remote job with an Australian company (starting Monday). I want to apply for the DTV visa, but I’m not sure if my work contract alone is enough or if I need to have been employed for longer. Also, does anyone know which nearby country is best to apply from?

Does the embassy see my visa history when processing my application? Or is it only the immigration officers?

One of the questions on the application is whether a person has previously applied for a visa in Thailand.  if the previous application was under a different first name, with a different gender marker on the passport, what should the answer be? 

Hey guys, I'm trying to apply for the workation visa and got stuck on this page.

What did you all enter on the travel information page?

1) From what I've seen people saying, there is no proof for flight tickets necessary. So I just look up flights and provide airline and flight number? What did you insert at "date of departure" if you intend to extend for another 180d within the country.

2) "Have you ever applied for Thai visa"

Does this include previous tourists visas or only long term visas?

3) Hotel accommodation

Do I need to book a hotel and provide the booking confirmation? The field even asks for a phone number so I'm not entirely sure if I should just input the hotels phone number here.

I couldn't find anything specific in the search so I'm asking these questions in case others may also have issues here.

I have been in Thailand for nearly 10 months in 2024. First on a 60 day evisa (before 60 day stamp came out) and maxed my border bounces/ extensions. Currently I am in Vietnam. Will my stay history impact getting DTV for soft power activities?

I want to go back to Thailand in the new year while I wait for my bank balance to qualify over ~3 months (for Phnom Pen )but not sure if this will be a good look given my history.

So I'm staying in Thailand since 2019 on ED visas😆, never left the country... Is there any chance to get DTV visa with such history? Anyone been in similar situation?

I'm applying for DTV in Hanoi, they requested all Thai visa I have received until present. Before I had two tourist visas - one single entry (I stayed around 3 months), one multiple entry (I stayed around 7/8 months). Has anyone's application been rejected because of staying that long?
