I have my DTV already, I want to go a quick holiday to Laos for a week, can I leave and come back in without making a re-entry permit or do I need to make one?

Hi everyone

Thinking about going with this company (yes I'm lazy)

But the amount of traveling in and out from the country makes it worth it since I'm already in Thailand.

They offered to change my workpermit to a dtv.

Agent fee: 18.000baht

Dtv application fee 350โ‚ฌ ( 12.479baht) total = 30.469 baht ~

I'm my opinion it's quite good. Going to Laos/Kambodja stay there for a week will probably cost around 18.000baht anyway. Especially now when the holidays coming.

Has anyone in the group used thai visa centre?

Thanks everyone, see you in the paradise ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I am on a non O visa which I just renewed. I donโ€™t have a multi entry stamp and we are trying to plan a trip to Lao. Can I get a re-entry stamp driving across at Nong Khai or do I need to get it in Khon Kaen immigration where I do my visa stuff? Can I get it based on a date we are planning or do I have to go the day we are leaving?

We are leaving for Thailand ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ in early January 2025 and returning to the USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ on the end of April.

Our plan is to enter under the visa exempt/get 60 day stamp, travel to Laos ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฆ in early March by air and return several days later and hopefully receive another 60 day stamp and return home at the end of April.

Has anyone left Thailand ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ and returned a second time under the visa exempt and received a 60 day stamp both times?

Or should we get a multi entry tourist visa thatโ€™s good for 6 months and get stamped in each time for 60 days????

Any and all comments will be appreciated.

DTV for a British passport holder whilst currently in Thailand.

Apparently a short trip to Laos is all that is needed. However, others are now saying it must be applied for whilst in Europe.

Can anyone please advise?

Iโ€™ll be in NYC next month too and emailed the consulate and awaiting a reply. Can I apply there?
