The Embassy in your homecountry, will know about documents normaly issued in that country, and that could make it easier to get documents approved than in a 3 country, that have other norm to business letters.
And with DTV there will never be a second time, since after 180 days you should have left Thailand, you have started a new visaperiod and have started from day 1 again
Every foreigner, no matter where they stay, shall be registered with in 24 hours after they arrived at the adress.
It is the house owner, who is responsible to make the registration.
If you may need to use TM30 for something (Immigration), then ask the reception for a copy allready when checking in, it makes it easier for everybody involved.
There are 3 main things that you need to be able to prove at Immigration.
20.000 Baht CASH
Booking of hotel / adress of where you will stay.
A ticket out of Thailand within the allowed lenght of stay at the visa scheme you enter on ( visa exempt 60 days = ticket out within 60 days, even if you plan to extend with 30 days at Immigration).
They grant you 60 days stay, of course you have to show them, that you intent to honeur that agreement, and your intent to leave within 60 days.
If those 3 requirements are met, it will be more difficult to deny you entry.
