Just got approved in Jakarta! Grateful for all the info / help I got from this group.
Here’s an overview of the process I went through. My advice is although Jakarta is smooth, don’t be like me and wait until last minute to apply.
I applied on May 29th. Got approved on June 11th. My stay permit (extended) in Indonesia expires June 13th.
I have a French passport and applied through soft power: 3 months via Tiger Eye - they were really helpful 💯
Submitted:
- proof of location: confirmation of my booking on Agoda with 2 nights booked then attached a letter mentioning that I plan on moving around in Indonesia while Visa is processing, stay permit in Indonesia, flight ticket to Denpasar (from BKK), and screenshot of my pinned location on Google maps
- proof of financial funds: 6 months bank statement of my savings with 500k+ baht, screenshot of the conversion from my currency to baht.
- paperwork sent to me by Tiger Eye Muay Thai
Submitted on May 29th. There were couple holidays in between.
Website was showing Pending Document Check for a few days.
June 9th I got an email asking to upload a proper Visa photograph. The one I uploaded originally I think wasn’t appropriate as I wasn’t wearing any sleeves so I took an proper Visa photo and submitted it.
I then called the embassy on the 11th to ask for an update as my Indonesia visa was coming to an end. I was told to wait. I patiently waited. Around 1pm I checked and it was « pending approval ». Then 6pm I received an email with the approval.
Hi! Quick question for those who contacted Hanoi’s thai embassy by email: did you receive an immediate automated response acknowledging reception of your message?
I have contacted other embassies before and I always received an auto reply right after to confirm reception.
That was not the case when I reached out to consular.han@mfa.go.th and thaiembassy.han@mfa.go.th a few days ago. Of course I’m not expecting a quick response to my inquiry, but I’m now wondering if they received my email at all.
Just curious to know your experience (and if you successfully communicate with them by email eventually?).
I am a Bangladeshi applicant currently in the process of obtaining a Thailand Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) via the medical route. However, I am facing difficulties in completing the visa fee payment through the online system. I have attempted multiple times, but the website seems to have technical issues.
I have already reached out to the Royal Thai Embassy in Bangladesh via email and phone, but unfortunately, I have not received a response.
I would greatly appreciate any guidance on alternative payment methods or any steps I should take to resolve this issue. If there is any other way to proceed, such as paying through a different platform, bank transfer, or in-person payment, kindly let me know.
How to obtain a certification of a relationship from American consulate in Thailand? We need to apply O visa my kids in Laos however my school said we may need the certificate of relationship.
I need to send my NYC issued diploma back to the States for Authentication by the Thai embassy or consulate there. Which is the most dependable service for such a task? It's my understanding that it must first be notarized by a notary in the state of New York. After that, will I also have to send it to the US department of State for their authentication before sending it to the Thai embassy for the final step?
