For those that applied for DTV in Vietnam is it better to:
• A) Just buy a one way plane ticket to Hanoi, then once visa is approved buy another one way back? (Sometimes at airports they wanna see ur return flight so that is my concern with this option)
• B) Buy a Return Flex ticket. So you can change your fly back date depending on when your visa is approved.
I am planning to apply for the DTV (Expats type) in Vietnam and am currently preparing my bank account to meet the financial requirement.
Previously, I applied through an agent in Laos, but the documents submitted were not strong enough, so I had to cancel the application. Since then, I have been preparing stronger documents and this time I would like to apply on my own.
I have a few questions:
1. For the financial requirement of 500,000 baht, does the full amount need to be in my account for the last three months, or is it acceptable if the amount has accumulated over time?
2. Since I cancelled my application in Laos, can I reapply in the same country with improved documents, or would I need to apply in another country? Is Vietnam a good choice?
French citizen rejected in Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam for soft power with 1 month course in a reputable Muay Thai gym in Phuket. I shown 3 months of >500k bank statements and highly-paid freelance invoices as proof of funds. I don't know what to do more, contacting an agent? I have only 2 weeks left in Vietnam, I can maybe modify my plans to have 2 weeks more.
I’m currently on a DTV visa, and my boyfriend is here on a student visa. My 6-month stamp is expiring on August 13, so we’re looking into doing a border bounce, and I’d love some advice based on recent experiences.
These are the options we’re considering:
– Nong Khai (Laos) – Has anyone on a DTV visa done a border run there recently? Is it still straightforward?
– Cambodia by car – We have a car and were thinking of driving to Siem Reap, but I heard there might be land border closures. Is this still possible right now?
– Flying to Vietnam (Da Nang) – This might be the backup plan if land routes aren’t an option.
If anyone has done one of these recently or has any updates—especially about Cambodia—I’d really appreciate the help. Just trying to plan ahead before my stamp expires. Thanks so much 💛
Need a visa agent to support me and my VN gf with DTV visas. I'm Lithuanian. Have the needed money on account, just don't want to do it through my embassy in person, as it's in Denmark. I'm in VN now, would be best to solve all here or online. Any options?
I’m a solo traveler and I need to figure out how to get a DTV visa to get back to Thailand. I originally came in to Thailand on a 90 day tourist visa. I then extended another 30 days. I left the country and went to Malaysia for about a month. I came back into Thailand on a 60 day tourist no visa. I left again and came back for another 60 days. I’m currently in Vietnam but I have to get a DTV visa per Thailand immigration. I was told by Thailand Immigration agent I can do this while I’m in Vietnam. So I only have a week in Vietnam. I want to extend in Vietnam to give me more time to get this done. However I cannot found any information on how to extend in Vietnam. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Hey, my visa application in Cambodia was cancelled today(wrong name). I've been thinking of applying straight away from Vietnam? Is it a good idea or should I wait some time? Also what's the processing time there? Has anybody applied in Vietnam recently?
I'm going to be flying to Hanoi soon and applying for a DTV Visa. Most of my bank accounts are Canadian and Singaporean, but I'd like to forgo the Vietnam visa fee by entering with my Norwegian passport (also time consideration as my flight leaves soon). Would it be awkward to apply with my Norwegian passport, if all of my bank accounts are Canadian and Singaporean?
