Maybe a bit off topic but I obtained a Non O retirement visa last year and 2025 will be my first full 12 months as a resident of Thailand. I’m Australian and receive superannuation and other investment income, as well as rental income from my Australian property. My Australian bank is requesting I update my taxation and citizenship details by early July as required by the Australian Taxation Office. Of course I have a tax accountant in Australia but I’m sure other Australian members of this forum have already been down this path and grateful for any comments or advice.

LTR retiree visa: hey all, we are coming as a family of three as our son will attend international school in Bangkok. We have the student/guardian visa option, but wanted to explore LTR so a couple of questions. 1. Is the US$80k requirement per person or in total for a family? For example, could I combine my investment income with my wife's to get $80k? Or would we need $160k+? 2. Are visa fees per person or total? 50k, 100k, or 150k for the three of us? In our circumstances, would it be best to use an agent (currently in Philippines). Thanks for any response.

I am selling my house and moving to Thailand. I am almost retired and live off passive income but not 50 yet so I need to do the soft power option of the DTV. Does anyone know how to get a letter from a Muay Thai gym . I’m active and think I would enjoy doing that but have no idea how I go about getting an acceptance letter and what is needed on it . Thanks !

In regards to the work around of returning to country of origin and getting a new Visa after letting current one lapse...I am seeing no changes in the Los Angeles or DC consulates/ embassy's websites regarding the requirements for "retirement visas". Am I "safe" in assuming that we can get new Visas using things like investment income and rental property?

From Today Daniel's latest post I see no softening in the requirements for Visas or extension in country.
