Anonymous participant every embassy is different in regards to needing to stay in the country you apply from, however it is Thailand that doesn’t want you in the country while it is being processed. If in the next few years they decide to use ai to detect this they have every right to cancel your visa.. lots of people have posted on here though that they were approved while in Thailand and left and re-entered to ‘active’ the DTV. Do as you wish 😊

Anonymous participant talk to your embassy directly, everyone on this page will tell you conflicting things and they are not going to be the ones approving or denying your application

Ask your embassy directly as they all differ, I was approved in Canberra with 500k baht and stating I am unemployed

Anonymous participant 321 I just became a non tax resident as I met all the criteria for this by not living in the country and not having income in the country (if you have assets there you won’t qualify). I basically just cut all ties

of course everyone is going to have different setups, just giving people that are reading this ideas on different ways to set yourself up. Paying for tax/financial advise is often very beneficial in what it can save you

different countries around the world are different of course, but if I spend less than 183 days in my home country and have no income there I have no tax obligations. If you work for yourself you can set up your finances so that your income is not coming through your home country, for example get paid into crypto wallets, your only tax obligations is money remitted into Thailand
