TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for a DTV visa for cooking or Muay Thai in Thailand without a source of income, provided you have a minimum bank balance of THB 500,000. While income is not mandatory, you may need to attend a minimum number of classes, usually around 5 per month, though this can vary by program. Make sure to get a legitimate invitation from the school, and note that requirements may differ based on nationality. It's advisable to consult with the embassy to confirm specific conditions.

You can still apply for DTV visa with cooking school or muay thai gym without income. We've had many students approved they DTV visa with our cooking school without having income. Most important is having the minimum required THB500,000.

Feel free to reach out to ask any more questions, we've assisted over 300 students get their DTV visa with our cooking school so we are familiar with the process.

Just tell them you'll be in Thailand for 1-2 years, not the full 5 years, and 1 million is enough for that period.

You’re good as long as you have the 500k in your account. Income isn’t mandatory. For cooking or Muay Thai, you’ll need to attend a minimum number of classes—usually about 5 per month—but it varies by program. Just get a legit invitation from the school and you should be fine.

No, you do not have to attend classes, you also do not have to apply and you do not have to fly towards Thailand. Save your money as living without income is very expensive.

Yes, you can get it, it depends on your nationality, too. You should take a minimum 6 months course.

At the moment, there are no checks at the border, if you're continuing the activity or not.
