you said “you get one for 60”. They don’t get a visa. They get to enter the country visa free for 60 days. Wording is important

glad you’re here to be helpful. Why don’t you point him to the 1000 posts ?

Anonymous participant there are many posts. And yes. It’s a bit of luck. The dtv is a tourist visa.

@Jo ******
My school did it for me but I had to pay them to do it. Otherwise you can just go to your local immigration but the school should be helping you with that.

100%, thats the purpose of the ED visa, not the DTV visa. Your visa needs to align with your intention for being in the country. Obviously the DTV is a better visa financially and length of stay so I would recommend if you want the DTV to apply under the proper categories so you won't get rejected.

@Daniel ******
can you show me where it says that? Soft power activities according to the announcement and what people have been approved for include what I screenshotted below.

Education visas are for studying, DTV visas are for cultural and medical activities and the remote working option.

Yes, I was on ED and now DTV. There are several posts about that here in the group you can use the search feature. the DTV is not for studying but not sure it would matter but the type of visa you are on should reflect your purpose for being in Thailand. I think that's the best answer I can give.
