New changes new questions - is Vietnam/HCMC asking everyone now for their previous passport pages and if so, why would this be? Specifically for people with remote jobs not soft route

1) did you show a Thai bank account with the funds

Or

2) were there Thai transactions on your bank statement?

Current situation - here 2 years on an ED visa, if anyone has the same experience please let me know as I’m about to apply from there soon

Thank you 🙏

Hello everyone! I submitted my DTV application online in Ho Chi Minh City on November 2nd. The status changed to "Document Check" on November 4th, then to "Pending Approval" on November 5th. Since then, there have been no updates.

Has anyone else who applied online around November 2nd received any updates or approvals? Just trying to gauge the current processing times.

Looking forward to hearing about your experiences!

When submitting bank balance to HCM - Vietnam, should there be a balance maintained for 6 months or the final balance of 500,000 baht is sufficient? This is for the DTV.

Hi! I'm flying to Vietnam to apply for the DTV but I don't have a flight to Thailand yet because a) I don't have any guarantee that I'll get the DTV and b) if I do get it, I don't know when. So I don't want to book a flight to Thailand because I might lose money.

Does anyone have any idea what to put here?

For those who have applied in Vietnam HCMC, are bank statements with just the balance on them for the last 6 months okay? Or do they need to see specific transactions?

Not Thailand related vs. the "everything else" part of this group - has anyone applied for a Vietnam e-visa in the last year or so? I have some questions - I haven't been to Vietnam since COVID before an e-visa was an option. It's currently cheaper for me to fly and stay in Da Nang than Hua Hin from CNX - that was the choice :)

Do you get a printout that you can use in the immigration queue vs. the old VOA you have to get preapproval for, then queue up for an hour or two on arrival to get it before then going through immigration? Am I correct in thinking the e-visa doesn't involve a full-page visa sticker in my passport?

Also, for those who have applied, how long did it take. The website says three days.

I already have a multi-re-entry stamp for my two-year Thai extension of stay and I don't qualify for visa-exempt/free entry into Vietnam.

My daughter flys back to Thailand from London in 3 weeks. She was stamped into Heathrow on her uk passport as her Thailand passport date has expired. If she’s Flying back to Thailand using her uk passport will she need to get the thailand pass with insurance etc ? Or still having an expired Thai passport is it ok to fly back without the Thai pass and insurance. Thanks for any advice.
