Why was my DTV visa entry stamp only valid for two months instead of six?

go back to the airport you stamped in at and they'll correct if for free. Go to the customer service counter.

Keep in mind while any immigration office can correct a bad air entry stamp, they are under no obligation to do that and can tell you to go back to the airport that bad stamped you to get it corrected

It's 100% your responsibility to make sure you're stamped in for as long as you should on the right category of entry stamp

Once I came in on a two month tourist visa and officer stamped 30 days - probably thought I was on visa exempt. Didn't notice it til next day so had to go to immigration , well-dressed, and explain, without blaming immigration ;) . Fixed. I always check the stamp immediately now. Good luck.

Why would you not hand the Visa papers with your passport?

Is the visa a sticker in your passport?? Did you point out that you had a DTV visa?? Or did you have a printed copy, and you passed it to the officer with your passport?? You can't have done either, or you wouldn't be here asking this question, and you also didn't check the dates on your stamp, before you walked away.

Officer was so enthusiastic and smiling when he saw my DTV visa that he stamped me... 7 months:)

I didn't notice that either. Then he chased me around the airport to fix the mistake :)

Thats really bad. I made a habit a couple of years ago to always check the stamp before I leave the IO desk. Im sure you can get it fixed.

Next time, you should print and show your visa when you give him your passport, AND tell him you have DTV visa

Visa in Passport or E-Visa?

If in passport then it’s there mistake if paper and you didn’t show your fault.

They will correct it, not a big problem, but you probably have to go back to the point of entry. But give your local Immigration a try first...

P.S.: Old wisdom... always check the stamp before you leave the counter... 😁

Did you point out to the immigration officer that you have a DTV? I entered 4 times now (today as well) and have had to explicitly inform the officer so they know.

Did he see the visa.. You need to have him correct it before you leave.

They made a mistake. He didn’t see the visa. The immigration office will fix it for free
