TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, individuals entering Thailand with a DTV must report to immigration every 90 days. This requirement applies to all long-stay visa holders, except for the Long-Term Residency (LTR) visa, which has a different reporting schedule. It is essential to file a TM30 form, ensured by your landlord, prior to completing the 90-day report at the immigration office where you reside.

First make sure u have a tm30 and try to do a 90 day report. Then let us know the result and which immigration office.

The long and winding thread,

that leads to immigrations door

Will never disappear

I've seen that report before

It always leads me here

To the 90 day reporting door.

After the first 90 days you have to report, after the second 90 days you have to exit Thailand or extend at immigration. In case you exit the 90 day count starts all over again.

If you think it is easier to exit and reenter the country every 90 days, that is also an option.

Yes, of course you need.

Yes like anyone staying in Thailand over 90 days except elite visa

I have an email from my visa agent in Bangkok (the guy who got me my DTV) saying absolutely you do have to do repotting.

Copied and pasted from his emailā€¦

Since there is no exemption regarding the 90-day report with this visa, you will need to complete the 90-day report.

Clearly thereā€™s still a lot of unknowns with this Visa as it begins to be embedded into the system as I have had mixed messages from embassies also.

forget what Thai Embassy or Consulate says. Thai Immigration office requires you to file a TM30 within 24 hours of your arrival. And the 90 day report is required to be filed when you are in Thailand for 90 days.

rule of thumb in Thailand. Embassies know nothing about immigration policies, and immigration doesn't know anything about ministry of foreign affair embassy policies.

embassies have nothing to do with 90 days report. Thatā€™s why they donā€™t know anything about it.

All visa classes (except 1 year duration for ltr) which stay over 90 days do 90 day reports.

It's not this visa or that visa, it's all visas

Yes

You DO 90 day reporting just like everyone else on a 'long stay' visa/extension (except the LTR visa which does reporting once a year)

how is the reporting gets done? Do I just show up in immigration and what forms I need to bring with me (I assume tm30?)

Also, do you need to report on entry or just after 90 days?
Tod *********
Anonymous participant if you are in country for 90 days you go to the immigration office where you stay and file a 90 day report.
