It ultimately depends on how you choose to interpret it, so there is no need to overcomplicate the explanation.

I have assisted many applicants in applying for the DTV visa with various types of documents and under different categories. However, regardless of the category used in the application, the visa granted in the end is still the same — DTV visa.

I understand your point. The Royal Thai Embassies list several categories such as Remote Work, Soft Power, and Medical, but they are all under the same DTV (Destination Thailand Visa). The categories only describe the purpose of the application.

It’s better to apply in Vientiane, Laos 🇱🇦. They may ask you for an interview, but you can explain your job and show your bank application during the interview. If you can provide all the required information, you will have a very high chance of getting the visa.

The DTV visa (Destination Thailand Visa) is a single type of visa, but it has several categories such as Soft Power, Remote Work, and Medical Treatment.

Regardless of the category, it is still the same DTV visa.

For example, if someone receives a DTV visa under the Soft Power category (such as learning Muay Thai, Thai cooking, or other cultural activities), they are still allowed to do remote work. This is because while staying in Thailand for these activities, they still need to work to support their living expenses and the cost of the course.

Therefore, the category only explains the main purpose of entering Thailand, but the visa itself remains the same DTV visa.

It depends on the embassy you apply to. Normally, documents must be in Thai or English. Some embassies accept your own translation, but some don’t.

Maybe, but I think starting next month they will begin requiring everyone to attend an interview.
