How can I reschedule a visa interview if I cannot attend?

ORIGINAL POSTERNEED HELP! They just sent me an email about my interview at 6pm and it is tomorrow morning but im still in Luang Prabang and there is no train or flight available tomorrow morning for Vientiane so i will miss it. Is there a way to contact the embassy and reschedule the interview?

I submitted my payment on March 4th. So far, I’ve already been asked to upload additional documents twice, and the status is still showing “documents checking.” Just wondering how long it took in your case.

ExcellentRaspberry8614 as long as you are still in Laos, there is no problem. Some people fly to Thailand, while waiting for interview, with other types of Visa (or visa exemption).. and fly back on the day of the interview, that will be a problem and can lead to rejection
But if you are still in Laos, it's ok
They don't normally allow you to reschedule to earlier dates, but later dates are fine
