Hi, I’m a remote worker and I previously applied for the DTV in my home country, but my application was rejected. They asked me to additionally submit my 2024 tax reports and the business registration of the company owner and I submitted. (I don’t own a company, I simply work for a multinational company.)
The issue was that the owner’s name was not included on the company’s business registration in the country where the company is registered, so I was not able to provide that document. I believe this may have been the reason for the rejection.
I’m planning to go to Hanoi and apply again, and I’m wondering if I would need to submit those documents again (the tax reports and business registration), since they should already have my previous application on record.
I would really appreciate any advice. Thank you 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience of having their Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) application rejected due to missing business registration information from their employer. They previously submitted tax reports and expressed concern about needing to resubmit those documents while planning to reapply in Hanoi. Community responses included suggestions to apply in Vientiane instead, the importance of submitting genuinely signed documents, and tips for explaining their job situation to immigration officials.
If you upload documents, they must be signed by the person.
a business document is signed by the busines owner or legal representative.
Your documents are signed by you.
Just some AI generated letters that you are alllowed to do what every you asked for, is not the best way to proof you're a genuine remote worker at that company.
It is not the staff of the Embassy, Immigration or the purpose you apply for.
Do some research, try to read correct information, skip the go soft power to work illegal, skip Embassy staff has no knowledge and try again with genuine documents.
Each case is different of course, I, however, advise u would not submit an application for workcation in Hanoi. Got rejected twice, remote work for a big company, agents don’t really know why either, no explanation. Seems that in hanoi they have their own standards for company proof (maybe?) and its easier to get a dtv for soft power but I could be wrong.
oh and go with the agent only tbh. its really worth it to spend a try in hanoi as its so fast compared to
They may have been confused by what you were telling them or had provided to them, if you work for a company they will want evidence that you have permission to work from Thailand or something.
You are dealing with people that don't have the in-depth knowledge of business structures or types of employments or the knowledge you know so you have to explain it and back it up with what evidence you can.
It’s better to apply in Vientiane, Laos 🇱🇦. They may ask you for an interview, but you can explain your job and show your bank application during the interview. If you can provide all the required information, you will have a very high chance of getting the visa.
