I'm asking if it's now the normal 2000 fine -plus- 200 THB for each late day!

If it's additional for each late day of course it matters now if you are late 8 days or 8 weeks.

A couple of years ago BB at Rama IV asked me the same. I went to German embassy, no appointment needed. They made a copy, stamped and signed it and BB was happy....
